Welcome to the Coopersville Middle School Physical Education Weebly. I am very excited for the opportunity to work with your child to promote healthy physically active lifestyles. The following pages and sub-pages will provide important information for you to enhance your child's experience in P.E. class. It is imperative that any question or concern be addressed immediately. I will return any phone call or email promptly. It is crucial to solve problems, not ignore them. Reading the syllabus will answer questions regarding grading, expectations, absent sheets, pedometer work, and any other concerns you may have.
I understand in today's digital age that staying active and physically fit can be a constant challenge. In an attempt to encourage an active lifestyle, inspirational videos, positive quotes, and other powerful messages will be provided to help motivate your child on this site. Not only will these messages be about physical fitness, but also about positive relationships and life skills. I strongly believe that seeing a message or video from a peer or professional can really help young adults in their daily life activities. Keeping healthy mentally is equally important as physically healthy.
The subject of safety and prevention of injuries always comes into discussion regarding gym class. It is my MAIN goal to provide your child with a safe and non-threatening environment. Please help ensure this safety by making me aware of any injuries your child has incurred. We also have a district policy found in the syllabus section. Please review it as injuries arise. Again, I am here to support your child as we train during class. Understand, though, that your child may have some sore muscles as a result of their efforts during class.
Childhood obesity continues to be a huge problem throughout our state and nation. The C.A.P.S. (Cardio , Aerobic, Plyometric, Speed/Strength) Training is a program I developed to combat this epidemic. Its main purpose is to provide an opportunity to improve the fitness of each student at CMS. Once a week the class will use a variety of current training methods to improve all of the above. I am very excited for this program as I feel it will allow our students to have the opportunity to improve in all fitness areas.
You can tap on the envelope below to send me an email. Again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks,
Mr. Krynicki
